Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026
Inboxjot is built and operated by Arik Chakma ("Inboxjot", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Inboxjot. They cover inboxjot.com, the Inboxjot dashboard, the API, SMTP and the MCP server (together, "the Service"). If you accept them for a company, you confirm that you can bind it, and "you" means that company.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 and give accurate account details. Keep your sign-in methods and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account and keys. Tell us at once at security@inboxjot.com if you think someone else has access.
Inboxjot is invite only for now. We decide who gets access.
Using the Service
You may use the Service to send email that people expect to get from you. You are responsible for your content, your contact lists and the consent behind them. You must:
- Have permission from each recipient, or another lawful basis, to email them
- Include a working unsubscribe link in marketing email, and honor unsubscribes quickly
- Send only from domains you own or control, and keep their DNS records verified
- Follow the email and privacy laws that apply to you, such as CAN-SPAM, CASL and the GDPR
- Get any consent your recipients' laws require before you track opens and clicks
Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to:
- Send spam, or email to purchased, rented or scraped lists
- Send phishing, malware, fraud or deceptive content
- Send content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others
- Hide your identity or impersonate someone else
- Probe, overload or attack the Service or other users
- Resell or share access to the Service without our written approval
We watch bounce and complaint rates to protect deliverability for every customer. When they stay too high, we may pause sending for a domain or workspace until the cause is fixed.
Suspension
We may suspend your access, fully or in part, when you break these terms, when your sending puts the Service or other customers at risk, or when the law requires it. When we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Fees and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribe. Usage above your plan is billed at the end of the period. Fees do not include taxes, which you pay. Fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we say otherwise in writing.
Your Data
You keep all rights to the content and data you put into the Service. You give us the rights we need to run the Service for you, such as to store, process and deliver your email. The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum explain how we handle personal data, and they are part of these terms.
You can export your data at any time while your account is open. After your account ends, we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any duty to you.
Our Property
Inboxjot owns the Service, including its software, design and brand. These terms do not give you any rights to them, except the right to use the Service as these terms allow. You must not copy, modify or reverse engineer the Service.
Third-Party Services
The Service connects to tools you choose, such as Slack, Discord, Telegram, your AI assistant and your webhook endpoints. Those tools are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Availability and Changes
We work to keep the Service available and fast, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted. We may change or remove features.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We cannot promise that every email reaches the inbox, because mailbox providers make the final decision.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to your breach of the Acceptable Use section or to your indemnity duties.
Indemnification
You will defend and hold Inboxjot harmless from claims that arise from your content, your contact lists, your email or your breach of these terms.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break them. When the terms end, your access ends, and we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as fees owed, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive.
Disputes
If you have a problem with Inboxjot, write to us at legal@inboxjot.com first. Most problems can be solved this way, and we will work with you in good faith to find a solution.
Changes to These Terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.
General
These terms, with the documents they mention, are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up. You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization.
