You send from a domain that you verify in Inboxjot. The DNS records prove that you own the domain and let inboxes trust your email.
Add a Domain
Open Domains and click Add Domain. Enter the domain name and pick a region. Use a subdomain such as send.acme.dev so your sending reputation stays apart from your main domain.
You cannot change the region after you add the domain.
DNS Records
Add each record the domain page shows at your DNS provider. The values below show the shape. Copy the exact values from the dashboard.
| Record | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| TXT · DKIM | inboxjot._domainkey | v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=<public key> |
| CNAME · Return path | send | send-<region>.inboxjot-dns.com |
| TXT · DMARC | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=none; |
The DKIM value is longer than 255 characters. Most DNS providers split it for you. DMARC is recommended but not needed for verification. It goes on your root domain, such as _dmarc.example.com, and covers every subdomain you send from.
Verification
Inboxjot checks your records every 10 minutes. The domain is verified when the DKIM and return path records are found. You get an alert when it is verified or when it fails.
A domain that is not verified within 72 hours fails, and another workspace can then add it. Fix the records and click Verify DNS Records to check again for another 72 hours. The records stay the same.
