# Send Email From Pi

Pi supports MCP servers over streamable HTTP in its core. Add Inboxjot from the terminal, sign in, and Pi can send email, read delivery status and draft campaigns.

## Add the Server

Run this in your terminal:

```bash Terminal
pi mcp add inboxjot --url https://mcp.inboxjot.com
```

This writes the server to `~/.pi/agent/mcp.json`, so it works in every project. Add `--local` to write it to `.pi/mcp.json` in the repository instead. Pi reads that file only in trusted projects.

## Sign In

```bash Terminal
pi mcp login inboxjot
```

In a running session, use `/mcp login inboxjot`, or open `/mcp` and choose Sign in. Pi opens Inboxjot in the browser.

Inboxjot then asks you to pick a workspace and the access the tool gets. See [Access](https://inboxjot.com/docs/mcp.md#access).

## Check the Connection

```bash Terminal
pi mcp list
```

The command exits with an error when a server is not connected, so you can use it in scripts. If you changed the config outside a session, run `/reload` in the session.

## Try It

- “Send a test email from <hello@yourdomain.com> to me with the subject Hello.”
- “Which contacts signed up this week?”
- “Add an order shipped email to this app and send me one with Inboxjot.”
- “Why did the last email to <kamran@example.com> go to spam?”

## Remove the Server

```bash Terminal
pi mcp remove inboxjot
pi mcp logout inboxjot
```

`remove` keeps the stored sign-in, so also run `logout`. To cut access from the Inboxjot side, revoke the tool on the MCP page of the dashboard.
